At Baobab, our journey began with a childhood fascination that grew into a lifelong passion for woodworking. It all started when, at the tender age of 12, I embarked on my first woodworking project in primary school. That project sparked a fire within me, earning me the coveted title of Carpentry Student of the Year. From there, I continued to hone my skills throughout high school, even pursuing carpentry for my GCSE.

However, life took a detour, leading me into the world of accounting. It was during this time that I realised that my true passion lay in creating with my hands, not behind a desk. So, I took a bold step, moved to the UK from South Africa at 18, and embarked on a journey that led me from odd jobs to carpentry once again. I seized the opportunity to start as a carpenter, learning from diverse experiences and individuals, building my knowledge and expertise. My career reached new heights as I contributed to impressive projects like the Olympic Games 2012 display, the Houses of Parliament, and various prestigious schools.

 

But it was in 2016 when Baobab was born, I found my true calling. What sets Baobab apart is our unwavering commitment to the personal touch and a dedication to creating woodworking masterpieces that reflect our customers' dreams. What makes me most proud is that, on every project we undertake, customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal. I stand firmly behind the principles of delivering the highest quality workmanship and materials, ensuring our clients get exactly what they desire.
